Banana Almond Toast, only 200 calories

Today I wanted to share my current favorite breakfast, it is quick and easy and ohhh so yummy!

What you will need:
Slice of whole wheat bread
1 TBSP almond butter
1/2 banana sliced
Pop the bread in the toaster, spread w/ almond butter, top w/ bananas.  This filling meal is packed full of potassium, fiber, calcium and protein and only 200 calories.

Notes on this meal- I like to make my own bread, or buy it from the bakery where I know there are no preservatives. If you buy it from the bakery at your local grocery store it is usually the same price as the big name bread brands. It will not last as long but stick that baby in the freezer and you are good to go.

  1. Thanks for the request Mary, I will soon. I just had hand and wrist surgery and making bread is hard stuff. But I will put it on the list for the next couple of weeks. I like to make it again and test it for all of you w/ pics and all :)

  3. I have this for breakfast a lot, with various nut butters. I tend to use two slices of bread. It’s more calories but I use Ezequiel bread, which is only 80 calories a slice. So with two pieces of Ezequiel you are still only at about 300 calories.
