Sparkling Tequila Sunrise- 115 calories

The average Tequila Sunrise is 250 calories, that’s a meal for me! I decided there had to be a better way, so I cut the juice and added more alcohol and go figure it dropped the calories! You defiantly get more “bang for your buck” not only is it a stronger drink, but it is also a good way to wow your friends and keep some cash in your wallet too. By swapping out the grenadine for a cherry you get both the color and the sweetness you will expect from a Tequila Sunrise, without all the calories.

Makes 2 cocktails-
1 Jigger of Tequila
4 oz Champagne or Sparkling White Wine
2 Maraschino cherries
Juice of One Orange

Put a cherry in the bottom of two champagne flutes. In a shaker add the orange juice and tequila and ice, shake well and add to the champagne flutes, top with champagne and serve.

Each cocktail contains:
Calories: 115
Fat: 0
Fiber: 0
Protein: 0
Carbs: 7

  1. One note, DO NOT USE ICE! I served this at a party recently and used a little ice… bad idea and add the champagne at the VERY END if you are making for a party so the Champagne doesn’t go flat.
    Happy Cooking!
