Goat Cheese Stuffed Dates with Honey and Lavender- 80 calories

I love dates, they are just like candy somewhere between a fruit and caramel and packed full of fiber, calcium, potassium and antioxidants. A popular date appetizer has been stuffing them with cheese and wrapping in bacon, which is amazing but way too high in calories to have whenever you want. These are sweet, salty, creamy and fragrant with lavender and skinny.

Try these out for a date night (pun intended) or for a cocktail party, they are so fancy I promise everyone will be impressed!

Makes 20-

10 Dates Halves and Pitted- so 10 halves

4 tbsp Goat Cheese

2 tbsp Honey, try to find some good local honey at your farmer’s market

2 tsp Culinary Lavender

Sea Salt- optional

Place halved and pitted dates on a plate, fill with a small amount of goat cheese. Drizzle with honey, sprinkle on lavender and sea salt if you want them a little more savory and serve.
